Quality Engineering Supervisor

JOB DUTIES: Assist the Quality Manager and staff in the implementation, coordination, and improvement of quality systems. Provide technical support to the quality staff to ensure compliance with internal and external customer requirements, withemphasison continuous improvement in product quality,costand customer satisfaction. Coordinate all corrective action related to internal and external quality issues with thecustomer team.Assistin leading and organizing formal / informal problem-solving in areas of scrap, process, capability, and warranty. Provide training in quality systems and related areas such as APQP, BOS, Problem Solving, Statistical Process Control, Gage R&R andDOE. Support compliance with external customer requirements, including customer visits. Interface with design / process engineering,purchasing, manufacturing plants and customer on new product / process launches. Conduct system and product audits.Assistin maintenance of TS-16949 and ISA 9001 certification. Coordinate /facilitatecontinuous improvement in system compliance, product quality, customer satisfaction, and cost of quality. Provide risk assessment to Plant Manager, Business Unit and Director of Quality on customer design / quality issues. Submit monthly plant PPM performance to Director of Quality. Coordinate corrective action responses to the customer. Adhere to safety, environmental, quality, productivity, and performance standards as outlined in plant policies,handbooksand applicable work instructions.

MINIMUM EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related engineering discipline.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of experience as Quality Engineer.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: The required two years of experience as a Quality Engineer must have been in an automotive or auto parts manufacturing environment.

OTHER: Up to 15% domestic travel required to other corporate facilities.
